Pro-Active For Agriculture!

The Garrett-Preston Agricultural Leadership Academy (ALA) was developed to help equip young people to meet the many challenges facing Mountaintop agriculture today.   The purpose of ALA is to provide men and women interested in the future of mountaintop agriculture with opportunities to:

1. Expand their leadership abilities

2. Develop an active network of resourceful, diverse, and highly motivated people

3. Increase their knowledge of technological practices, marketing strategies and environmental concerns

4. Become pro-active for Agriculture

As a member of ALA, you will participate in a variety of leadership development initiatives, such as group exercises, small group discussion, guest speakers, farm and public building visits, and more.

The first class will form in January.  Call the Garrett County Extension Office at 301-334-6960 for an application packet.  Return the application by December 15.
